The client
Prime Factory Outlet is a Perth-based retailer offering high-quality furniture and homewares at unbeatable factory-direct prices. With a wide range of stylish and affordable pieces—from cozy sofas to decorative outdoor features—they’ve built a strong reputation through their warehouse sales and in-store experience. However, their existing online presence didn’t reflect the quality or scale of their offering. They needed a modern, mobile-friendly website that could showcase their evolving product range, support online growth, and make it easier for customers to browse and connect with the brand—whether at home or in-store. That’s where Mintyy came in.


Discovery
Before jumping into design, we partnered with Perth-based marketing agency Unify to lead a thorough discovery phase. This involved collaborative workshops to understand Prime Factory Outlet’s brand, goals, and customer base. Together, we conducted a SWOT analysis to identify opportunities and pain points, and mapped out a streamlined site architecture focused on usability and conversion. Special attention was given to product categorisation and navigation—ensuring that both the structure and strategy of the site supported a seamless user journey from landing to in-store visit.

Design
The primary goal for the design was to prioritise user experience and optimal usability. Prime Factory Outlet operates on a wholesale, factory-direct model, so we aimed to reflect that no-fuss, value-driven approach in the site’s visual identity. Rather than leaning on decorative elements or complex layouts, we kept the design clean, direct, and easy to navigate. Key product categories and store details are easy to access, ensuring users can find what they need quickly—whether they’re browsing on mobile or desktop. The result is a website that feels straightforward and functional, aligned with the brand’s practical, customer-first ethos.


Development
With the strategy and design in place, we built the website on the Roots Bedrock + WooCommerce framework to ensure a modern, maintainable, and secure codebase. Performance and usability were front of mind—every component was optimised for fast loading times and mobile responsiveness. We integrated a simple yet powerful product browsing experience, prioritising ease of navigation over complex ecommerce features, in line with the client’s in-store sales model. The final build is robust, SEO-friendly, and designed to scale as their product offering grows.
